What do you think is common sense but see people getting wrong?

Charlotte

Sometimes I see people say things that are incorrect. Which is fine. After all we don't all know everything.

But some things are common sense. But people still get wrong.

Some things I ran into lately.

-A friend who was never thought that when leaving a voice mail you should repeat important information like your phone number

-people thinking antibiotics help against viruses. They don't.

-people on escalators standing still on the left side. No matter how many stickers say left is for walking

-People who don't cover their face when coughing/sneezing or who do it in their hands and then don't wash them. The elbow is where it's at people.

-People talking to you while your wear a headset, without first getting your attention. Really? Just really?

-Walking in a group on a sidewalk, leaving no room for others to pass.

-Sitting next to you in public transit while the entire bus/train/whatever is basically empty

-people who think correlation = causation

-people who don't believe in global warming because they are experiencing a cold winter

And many many more.

These things drive me nuts.

What examples can you share?

Edit: The escelators thing seems to be mainly europe based. Probably because you can't get anywhere here without going trough escelators.

However on roads sidewalks stairs etc its common etiquette for people to stick to the right side so people on the left can pass.

I don't see how this shouldn't be common etiquette for escelators as well, even without stickers

I do mean escelators not those cool airport flat things.

Here is some pics to show how clear people want this to be in places in europe (though people still ignore it)

The sticker left says "left go right stay"

Second edit: with the voicemail I mean when you call bussinesses.

I didn't mean when calling a friend or relative. It be silly to leave your number at all then, obviously.

Here when we call sick we need to leave our info and student code in a voicemail box. I asume not in every school but in a load of them

In those situations

You for sure should repeat it. I know people can replay voice messages however sometimes replaying it 20 times wont help if the time you said it had 1 number that wasn't clear the first time.

I know that may be a particular situation but I am sure a lot of you can think of your own situation where leaving a proper voicemail was important

Edit 3:

You guys made my day 🤣🤣

As someone said, who knew escelators were so controversial.

And altough I can't say I have experienced all the things you guys go trough, I do recognize a lot of them. I hope complaining a little here and there made ya'll let lose of any frustrations you may hold like it did for me this morning when I first posted :')
