Baby pictures?

How many weeks is everyone going to attempt the newborn photos? I wanted to do a few days old maybe a week, then again at 2 month ish but MIL thinks the 1 week old ones will be too young and won’t look great!! Would love opinions / experience with this!

You’d just need to talk to photographers. Some see then within the first week, some within 3 etc. we had newborns done with our first and will again this time.

As a photographer - the best time for pictures is newborn to 14 days old. Anything over is a struggle (not impossible, but a struggle). Photographers are typically very clean - clean all their wraps, blankets, etc. and sanitize to the max so baby doesn’t get sick! So no reason to not get some made!

When I had pics done with my last son, my photographer was adamant about 10 days or younger

I’m a photographer, and I find newborn photos are best done the first week. They are easy to keep asleep and ball up into cute positions.

I’m a photographer and they are best to do in the first two weeks. I wasn’t super experienced with newborn photos when my son was born and we waited too long. We did them at 2 1/2 weeks and he wasn’t nearly as careless at that point and fought us a bit on cute positions. They turned out well, but not how I imagined. We plan to do it sooner this time.
