Help please

I’ve been in a relationship with this girl for a few months now and it’s going pretty good, but when her friends talk about her to me or someone, they switch between saying “him” and “her.” I don’t know if they are just confused or something or if she is gender fluid or whatever it’s called. Which is perfectly fine with me if she is. But I feel awkward asking her about it
