Has anyone gone to their 6 week appointment still bleeding? Not sure if I should cancel

I was still spotting for mine. I didn’t bother cancelling

I had gotten my period the day of so I called and explained and they told me to still come. I’m assuming they see it pretty often. I also found out my OB doesn’t do an exam unless me or him feel it’s necessary. 🤷🏻‍♀️

If this is still bleeding from birth (hasn’t stopped) that’s actually more reason to go - they need to check it out. It it’s period bleeding it’s also fine. I had my first postpartum period during my appointment, it was fine. You can have normal OBGYN checkups on your period too. They won’t care.

With my first I went to my 6w appt with my first Pp period 🤦🏻‍♀️.
Our second we had a 4w pp and I was still spotting.

I did and they didn’t even check me. I had no tears and a pretty straightforward delivery. All they did was give me birth control.
