Hi ladies !! So I’m 17 years old and last week my lady bits started to itch like crazy, I didn’t have much white discharge but as the week went on I noticed the itchiness became worse. Friday night after work I had looked down to see what my vagina looked like because it had felt really swollen all day and to my surprise it was bright red & enlarged so I called my mom in to look because I was freaked out (my moms like my best friend ) and she already knew it was a yeast infection without any hesitation. We called my gyno and she recommended Monistat.. I’ve been using it a few nights already and it’s starting to clear up.🙏🏼 but that’s not the dilemma. I was looking up what the causes were for a yeast infection and there were your normal tight and wet clothing answers but then I stumbled upon a page saying it could be a symptom of pregnancy?!?!?!? I didn’t think abt it at first but then I started adding things up in my head. I’ve never EVER had a problem downstairs. Never even knew what a yeast infection was prior to this and me and my boyfriend constantly have unprotected sex, I know I’m fertile at the moment but he’s always good about pulling out ?... I just don’t understand how I suddenly have a yeast infection. I haven’t had a change in anything. No new underwear, clothes, food, detergent, sex partner. Nothing. I just need some advice. Am I just freaking myself out ? Or should I keep this thought in the back of my mind ?😩
