How long after loosing mucus plug did you go into labor?

Question

I had a stretch and sweep done yesterday. Doctor said I was hardly dilated but my cervix was very soft. 
I just lost my mucus plug this morning. Does this mean labor is close? (I have been cramping up on and off) or does this mean the cervix is slowly starting to open? Or both?
I’m at first time mum and 39weeks and 3 days.

Literally went into labor 30 minutes later.
Happened at like 5 pm
Water broke on its own at 8:30
Has her at 4:55 am

I lost mine slowly starting a couple days before I went into true labor. I had been having irregular contractions for 4 days before they became regular and then I had the bloody show.

I lost my mucas plug two weeks before I went into labor. after my bloody show I went into labor 3 hours later

I lost chunks of my mucus plug through out the last month but didn’t go into labor until bloody show right after I started contracting and that night I had my baby at 40 weeks 4 days
