So I have three cats. One I got at 12 weeks. She’s five months now. Not long after getting her I rescued a kitten I found outside. The vet determined he was about 5 weeks so that’d make him just over three months now. My vet will not spay and neuter until minimum six months. He explained males can not create sperm until min six months. Which okay I get that. My older guy got spayed at seven months and never got my parents cat pregnant so I believed this to be true. So our girl is willow, our boy is Toby. Willow is set to get spayed in a month and a couple weeks. Here’s the thing. We left to go to My in laws for the night and a friend stayed to watch them. Willow suddenly went into heat that night. I’ve NEVER had a cat under ten months go into heat and I’ve had a lot. But it was fine, I knew it’d happen sooner or later. Well not fine apparently because Toby and her had sex! Multiple times. Our friend didn’t think to separate them and honestly I wouldn’t have either as Toby is so young. So yes they had sex. Then she was fine no longer in heat. So I’m freaking out. Because 1. He has balls, big balls!! Sorry tmi. But my mil said big balls means sperm.

2. What if the vet was wrong and maybe he’s actually older?? Which I don’t think is possible as he was so tiny and could only have kitten milk for a couple weeks.

3. Hes only THREE MONTHS!! How is this possible that’s he’s even having the need to mate?? So my question is, could she be pregnant? Or is he too young to produce babies? The vet said he can’t but im starting to have doubts in this vet. Also can she even get pregnant in her first heat?? I feel so horrible. She’s too young. Please don’t bash me as I really was following my vets orders and I believed him fully. Now I’m not sure though I’m so so very worried
