Ok so my child is 4, and my fiancé has basically been in her life since she was a baby. My fiancé isn’t her biological dad but acts more like a dad than her actual dad. She calls my fiancé “dad” and sees him as her dad because she doesn’t really know her biological dad. The bio dad has been around my child but never really established a relationship with her and goes long periods of time without seeing her or anything. (Longest he’s gone was a year). So she really doesn’t know who he is or what role he plays in her life. My fiancé and I do however, want her to know that my fiancé is not her biological dad. We just aren’t sure when to have this conversation with her or even how to have the conversation. It obviously won’t be anytime soon but she is getting older and I want to know if anyone else has been in a similar situation or has any advice.
