In my country everyone above 60 or with certain chronic medical issues get a flu shot. This is what I mean with "that group"

If you really want to you can get it if you're not in that group, but you pay for it. For that group it's free.

It's also deemed not necessary, because the flu doesn't pose a significant risk to people outside of those groups.

But I hear in other countries loads of people get it every year/get it for their kids etc.

So for the comments:

Why though? Isn't it a waste of resources? Also isn't using any types of medicine you don't need typically a bad idea?
