What's the earliest a pregnancy test will show positive if your pregnant?

I'm supposed to start my period in 6 days & my breasts are super sore . I'm  tired a lot & I can't sleep through the night . I have a 4 year old & have had 2 miscarriages in the past year . I took a first response & it was negative. So maybe is it too early ?

It depends on when you ovulated in your cycle and when the egg implanted. 
I have a 28 day cycle on average and based upon when I ovulate the very earliest I could see a positive would be 3 days before my period, that's what my dr just told me when we looked at my chart and everything. So it varies per person on when they can test and get a positive.

Everyone hates them but Walmart blue dye ediqute! They are the most sensitive! AS LONG AS THE LINE SHOWS UP WITHIN 3- 10 mins, it's blue and full, then it's a for sure postive.

I bought cheap eBay ones, I felt pregnant but had bfn up to about 10dpo..at 10dpo tested with clear blue and got a vvbfp. Then at 11dpo got a darker on other ones but not on the cheap ones from eBay! Then bfp on clearblue digital..but didn't get a bfp until 12dpo with the cheap ones. So be careful using them xx I think 10dpo is good.

Each person is different. It depends how long implantation takes. With my son I had a faint but definitely there positive at 14 dpo. I would wait until you're due on :) I know how hard that is but I didn't get a positive until I was 1 week late because I'd ovulated a week late but I was 14dpo. Hope this helps :) good luck!
