How long after your bloody show did you go into labor and have your baby?

first baby I lost my mucus plug and had my bloody show on a Wednesday late afternoon/early evening. Contractions started Thursday morning around 3-4. I thought my water broke later that morning, so we went to the hospital. They tested and it came back negative (but later my OB mentioned he had a hard time breaking my water). They watched me for a couple hours, contractions slowed down and I was only dilated 1 cm, so they sent me home. I had an OB appointment later that day so my husband just sent me on laps around Walmart 😆 at my appt I was till only 1 cm. We went home, I bathed/showered and tried to sleep. By 9 am Friday, the contractions were more intense and closer together. My husband called L&D, told them what happened the day before, and that our biggest concern is that we live 40 minutes from the hospital, and it’s winter time. She had me do a couple different things, and said if the contractions continued through those things to come in. We get there around 10 am, my OB comes to check me at noon and I’m barely a 3 😐 he said it was up to me if I wanted to stay. By this point I’m dressed down to the hospital gown, hooked up to machines, and about to get my IV started. We stayed, I labored on my own till about 3 that afternoon (maybe a 4-5 cm by now) and got some IV pain meds so I could rest. At 7 pm, I get my water broken, epidural, and start pitocin. I started practice pushes at midnight, and my nurse made stop because my dr wasn’t there yet. Baby girl was finally born shortly after 1 am Saturday morning. It was a long few days, but I think if I hadn’t jumped the gun and gone to the hospital Thursday, and then too soon Friday, it wouldn’t have felt as long!

Hours! Lol. That was with my first baby. It started with diarrhea and cramping then I got my bloody show and literally two hours later I started having consistent contractions

Within a few hours. 
I should add though that I always had a blood after membrane sweeps and baby still took days. When I had my bloody show without a membrane sweep baby cane right away.

With my first baby (girl) it was 39weeks mark. I lost it around noon, labor started in the evening, and she was born the next morning. There were zero signs of labor before that. No dilation nothing. With this second baby (also a girl) I haven’t lost mine yet but I’ve already started dilating at 37 weeks, and thinned out. So will see

Thanks everyone! I had mine yesterday morning but still nothing. Mine came with my mucous plug hours before delivery with my son, so it's definitely different this time around. He also came at 38+2 and here I am at 39+3 and so worried about induction being in my future. ☹
