How do you know when you should leave your job?

Jurckie Backhart

So I have been at my current job as a HR assistant for almost 7 months. Its 40 mins from my house and the hours are flexible so I could work and still be a mom. Its M-F 8-4 sometimes I leave at 2:30. Everything was great. I loved working with my boss and helping her out. The thing is, she got fired at the beginning of Jan. I knew when she left they would dump everything on me. I'm currently working as a Director for the same amount of pay until they hire someone new. This has been so stressful as there is a lot of responsibility in this role. You are supposed to have at least a bachelor's degree for this but I literally only have a GED. I am just soooo stressed. But I LOVE the people I work with. They're all so nice. And I would love to just go back to being an assistant once they hire someone.

Today my brother called me and said theres a spot open for me at his job and I can have it if I want it. He works for a local woman, taking care of their house and yard M-F from 8-4. It would not be a problem for me to leave early on some days. It's a lot closer to my house and way less responsibility. And it sounds like he takes home more money than I do currently. I just dont know what to do.

Also, I am on a on the job training at my current job. I'm scared once I finish my hours they wont have a position for me.

Any advice ladies??
