Co-sleeping
So my son won’t sleep anywhere other than my chest. Everytime I feed him I’ll cuddle him until he’s about to drift off and put him in his Moses basket and rock him off to sleep. He’ll sleep in there for no longer than 15 minutes and then he’s wide awake screaming. I took him to the doctors earlier as he’s been struggling to keep his feeds down he’s sick about 3/4 time’s and I mentioned him only settling down when he’s on my chest. He suggested putting him in bed with me and my partner as he’ll probably sleep better. I have major anxiety about it as my partner moves around a lot in his sleep and I’m scared either me or him will roll and squish him. I’ve been sleeping on the sofa the past 3 nights reclined back with him on my chest and he’s slept perfectly fine and we’ve been getting 2-3 hours sleep between feeds which is the best I’ve had since he was born. I know you’re advised not to have your baby sleep on your chest but with it being the only way me or my son are sleeping at night I feel there’s no other way. Has anyone been through this before or have any tips on co-sleeping or anything?
