Is 10k flat a fair relocation package for a job?

Moving to a new state for a position within the same company. Does anyone want to share what they were offered for relocation?

Well yeah, most places dont even offer relocation expenses.

Well is it for the same position? Are you getting a raise or a higher position, is where your relocating to the same cost if living? Is the company asking you to or did you want to?

We just got about $40k. $16k for physical move cross country, plus the rest of incidental costs like car rental and flights.  Just trailering our two cars cost about $5k. My husband’s employer also paid closing costs on our previous home.

It wasn’t a flat offer, but they paid to have my car towed and paid to have house packed up for me. It definitely didn’t amount to 10k, I think after everything it was around 5,000.
