To drop or hyphenate last name?

She’s coming in 6 days and idk what to do. I looove my last name but idk if it’ll just be too much of a hassle for her when she’s older. 
Navarro-suico (pronounced swayco)
Or just have my husbands last name solo

I think it would be totally fine to do the hyphenated last name. 
If you decide not to though, you could always make Navarro a second middle name

Sometimes I know that for females, people neglect to give a middle name at birth with the intention that when she Marrys that her maiden name becomes her middle name legally and she takes her husbands last name. Maybe you could work something out like that?
I had a couple friends with hyphenated last names growing up and they were always embarrassed by it and didn’t care for it. Not sure their feelings now that they’re adults... just giving my thoughts!  Good luck! 😊

I have a hyphenated last name. It’s fine but kind of a pain so didn’t want to do it for the baby. 
My compromise was to give him two middle names, a ‘normal’ one and my maiden name.

My husband is Mexican and the state I live in made me legally change my last name to both of his rather than just take one (normally they let you just take one, but this state in particular is a dick about it. Either EXACTLY his, EXACTLY mine, or I have to pay to legally change mine to just the one name).
tl;dr both myself and my son have two last names now and it's not actually a big deal at all.
