Need advice on IVF and myomectomy order/timing
Most likely need my fibroid removed via surgery, BUT I will have the option of FIRST starting my IVF cycle at the end of Feb when my period is due. If I do that, they will freeze the embryos so that I can get the myomectomy to have the fibroid removed. And when I heal up from surgery, they will do the embryo transplant. The reason for doing it this way is mainly because I want to start IVF ASAP since time is of the essence (I’m 34 turning 35 soon!) and I don’t need the healing time of 3-6 months aging my eggs any more! But here’s the thing, I hear stories about IVF cycles being canceled all the time. If that happens, it’s only going delay the fibroid surgery too. We are going away end of April and I’m trying to time everything best I can! Should I try an IVF cycle end of Feb, hope it goes as planned, and then get the myomectomy? Or should I just get the myomectomy first and then wait to heal up before starting IVF due to it’ll probably take a while ? Any advice is much appreciated!!!
