Semen Analysis Question

I had no idea where to post this, but my husband got a referral for a semen / sperm analysis which he’s going to in 2 days.

The requirements ask him not to ejaculate within 2 days of the test, but no longer than a week.

By Thursday it would have been about 10 or 11 days.

Does anyone know if that would make a big impact? What’s the impact of waiting longer than a week?

I was told about the 2 days, but I was on my period and it had been like 7. We are lucky and his came back with good results anyway (I’m the infertile one).If it doesn’t look good let them know and they can do it again with the correct time frame.

My husband got his done a few weeks ago. He was at a similar time frame. Everything came back normal. I would say he is ok. Just my experience tho. Good luck with everything!

He should follow the instructions to get accurate results, if it comes back fine fantastic, but if it comes back bad you’ll wonder if it was real or because he didn’t follow the directions. If he ejaculates now he is at the perfect time frame, more than 2 days but not too long.

My husband was told his has to be no less than 2 days and no more than 5. He did two days. I would do what they say or it's not accurate.
