Baby talking yet? “Mama, dada, etc...”

My guy is trying to say things but he hasn’t “officially talked” yet and I’m just a worried FTM! Also excited to hear that “mama”😩

Perfectly normal. I don't think you have to worry until about 18 months.

mine babbles (and grunts) alot. He will babble mammamamama or dadadadada, but has 0 understanding what that means. Most kids don't figure that out until 10-12 months, but every kid is different! My son isn't crawling or standing and was super late to rolling over... but babbles like crazy. 🤷🏼‍♀️ 
I don't know why we fret. Ever met a 3 year old who couldn't walk or say words? no! haha

I posted earlier that my daughter was trying to say “hey google”. She started with “eyyy oooo-oooo” but can now say “eeyyy googoo”. And she knows what she’s doing because she’ll look right at the google home mini when she says it. 😭 so no mama or dada 😂. I’m counting googoo as her first word.

My baby loves to say dada🙄 lol! She know what baba means (bottle) and can say it when she wants one. Also when she’s upset she will say mommah.

She "talks" kinda. Sometimes when you ask her something she sounds like she's saying "Yeah!" And when you say Good morning she says "Gagaga mamamama" 
Then her usual "mamamama" when she wants me, and she makes an "oggy" kind of sound when she interacts with the dog.
No actual words yet. I can't tell if I'm being too strict though 😂 Other people I know count "mama" as their babies first words at like 6 months old.

Just within the last week it’s gone from mamamamama to anything to “mama!” When looking directly at me/for me and stops saying it as soon as I hold her (which is what she’s asking for)

My daughter is a talker.  She says about 6 words.  She also talks in her sleep.  Scared the shit out of me the other night.  I was up searching the house until I heard her say "mama" again.

I was getting concerned with my daughter bc she would say “ba” or “da” or “ga” or “ha” but not often at all. Literally in the last 3 days she’s been talking soooooo much more and have gotten some “Gaga”’s and “baba”’s. Still no mama or dada but I’m sure it’s not far behind. I’m sure it’s right around the corner for you! She literally went from barely making noise for like 2 weeks to all of a sudden being way more vocal. These babies just like to worry us a little before they do exciting things 😊
