Does anyone use a "lovey" for their baby?

If so...which one do you use? I know having a blanket or anything in the crib is dangerous, but I start takingcarababies 5 month course and she suggested a lovey so I'm wondering if anyone else uses one too!

This is my son and his lovey! It’s squiggle bunny from the jelly cat brand. It’s smaller and super soft. I don’t worry about him sleeping with it at night because it is smaller. He had a terrible time sleeping so it’s one of the tricks we’ve been using! Plus it’s adorable watching him snuggle with it.

Can I ask why they suggested a lovey? Also, do they recommend leaving it in when they sleep or taking it out? If so then would you just use during the day? Im just confused lol

I use one but move it when baby falls asleep because now she rolls to her stomach and one time I saw her roll over on the lovey and it was stuck there like she couldn't move it. She used it every night before she started rolling.

My son sleeps with a blanket. He hugs the corner of it and I tuck the rest under his legs or in between them when he’s on his side. I know it’s not recommended but we’ve done this since he was at least 2 months and he really likes it. I feel mostly comfortable with it. Sometimes before I go to bed I just move it if it’s in a place I don’t like. Maybe one of those pacis with the stuffed animal attached might be better to start with (I forget what they are called)

I won't be until a year. I would personally be way too paranoid to go against the one year recommended. Our local sleep consultant says to introduce them at 1 year also.
