Working as a CNA pregnant ?

So I’ve been doing CNA work for a while now so it’s nothing new to me. But being that I’m pregnant & high risk has made me a little concerned w/ this type of work. My OB ordered for me to not lift over 40 pounds but my supervisors has not been following that order. Has anyone else worked as a CNA pregnant & if so how long did you work. If not, is there any advise I should take working..

I’m a cna, I worked until 32 weeks my first pregnancy until I had some complications. Take it easy, and ask for help

Take it easy & if they aren’t accommodating try and get off on sick leave

I have I just changed jobs but it is hard work on your body. Your job should be Honoring your doctor wishes anything can happen.

I did it at the begining of my pregnancy. I watched all limitations. However, after my belly got a little bigger it started to hurt my stomach when I would roll bigger people. I had to get a home health job. It pays a little less, but I think it is definitely better. I am in a lot less pain and am a lot less stressed.

I have a cousin who is also a CNA and she had to go on bed rest at 13 weeks because of it. Just make sure to really listen to your body.

Yes I  a cna been for 5 years ! It’s hard as hell and it got to the point I lift everyday my doctor just took me off until I give birth
