How long would you drive with a 2 month old?

I’m moving and it’s a 12 hour drive. How long would you continuously drive? How would you split up the drive? I’m scared of sids and him being in his car seat.

I would probably stop every 2-3 hours or just whenever you see baby needs to eat, have a diaper change, or just gets fussy.

I personally wouldn’t drive that far but that’s just me. My babies screamed on car rides when they were little lol so 20 min maximum. But if you do go on a drive that long it’s important to stop every couple hours. To stretch, diaper and feed. Babies can die from positional asphyxiation in a car seat.

Two hours I guess. But it really depends on how you feel and how often your baby feeds. 
Try not to worry too much about SIDS. Just make sure you put the baby in the car seat with just one layer on clothes on. Make sure the seat belt fits well. And you should be right.

I did an 8 hour drive with a 1 month old once with only 1 quick stop for gas. He was a good sleeper. So I’d say 12 is fine. Depending on their sleeping, stop when they wake to take them out for a few minutes, change diaper, feed & go.

We drove 13 hrs to Florida when baby was 2 months. Husband drove and I sat in the back with her. We stoped about every 2.5-3hrs. Husband got gas, snacks/food and went to the bathroom while I changed and fed her and then we started back up. She was awake a lot of the time or being startled in her sleep by bumps and stuff in the road and I just watched her for a lot of the sleeping times. It was easy to see if she was breathing.

I would stop at least every 1-2 hours honestly, but I have severe anxiety so you know lol

I would stop along the way to feed and change of course. I think that age is perfect for taking that drive!
