My BBT has literally never been in the 98s. I'm in the 96s before ovulation and 97s after. You ovulated if your temperature rises 0.5 to 1 degree higher than your other temps for 3 consecutive days. It doesnt matter what your baseline is as long as it does that.

I've read low temps can be a symptom of hypothyroidism. My temps always go above 98 after ovulation. But everyone is different! BBT is about recognizing your own temperature trends.

Just because they aren't in the 98s doesn't mean you didn't ovulate. Low temps for sure can be indicative of hypothyroidism, but not always. If you don't have a biphasic chart showing ovulation and your temps tend to be lower, it's possible you may have it. My temps rarely ever made it to the 98s after ovulation, but I still conceived and I have no problems with my thyroid.

This is my positive chart. I feel like I only had a few high temps within the past few days. My temp dropped on 12dpo. Just keep temping until bfp or AF shows. Good luck!

Following I’ve never gone 98 or above either. This may be dumb, but are you cold natured?? I am extremely sensitive to cold and wonder if that’s why.
