I am selling all my stuff and packing up to travel full time. I got an opportunity to house sit for this lady in Mexico in santa del Oro for four months and I was so excited, up until I told my mom. She is making me scared and nervous and not wanting to pursue this anymore. I told her how I felt about everything she is saying and I told her I don't want to hear anything else (I know, she's my mother and she's worried but this is what she does, tries to talk me out of something that she doesn't want me to do, because she is worried) but she keeps going. I talked to the lady I will be house sitting for and looked her up on Facebook, she is very nice and has lots of animals and has good reviews on the house sitting site. I looked up the area people say nothing but good things. On the state department it says the area has crime (but what place doesn't?) It also says that the area is ok for federal government employees to travel to, so it is somewhat safe. I need to know should I stay away from Mexico is it as bad as the news and my mom making it out to be or pursue this opportunity?
