First time TTC and first time ovulation spotting?

So, this month is our first time trying for baby #2. It's CD16, I ovulated yesterday and we BD all weekend so I figured we were in the clear. But today, around 5:30pm I had some cramping in the lower abdomen area, not just one side.. this whole area. It felt like period cramps. So when I got home, I went pee and when I wiped there was a little bit of EWCM, that had some streaks of light pink. I have never in my 12 years(I'm 24) of having a period seen spotting or bleeding of any kind that soon before my period is due. Is it just a coincidence that it happens to be the first month TTC, or has this happened to others and resulted in a BFP?

My cycles are fairly regular, ranging between 28-32 days, and I'm supposedly due for the next one feb.19.
