Pumping question, any help is appreciated ! (Kinda long post)

Lexie

Hey loves, so this is my second baby and I am trying to exclusively pump. I tried nursing but his latch wasn’t that great so I’ve been pumping instead. Now, with my first, I tried pumping and never tried nursing because he was born extremely premature and was on the ventilator for 3 months while in the nicu so I wasnt able to try nursing with him and pumping back then wasn’t going well for me due to being overly stressed from him being in the nicu so I unfortunately had to stop pumping due to barely producing any milk. With my second, who is about to be 2 weeks old, I’ve been more successful with producing milk. I produce a total of 5 oz in the morning and it slowly goes down throughout the day, to about a total of 4-3 oz, sometimes 2-2.5 oz. by the end of each day, I have a total of 22.3 oz all together from pumping every 2-3 hrs. now my question is, when do you start freezing your milk? I typically have about 3-4 bottles of my milk in the fridge throughout the day and by the time I put little one to bed, I’m left with 1 or 2 bottles of milk. (He doesn’t eat more than about 2-2.5 oz with each feed right now, he’s also past his birth weight) I havent tried freezing my milk because he’s still in the “cluster feeding” phase so I’m constantly using what I just pumped. Do I need to try different ways to increase my supply? I’ve only had to supplement with formula maybe 2-3 times but I’m just worried that maybe I’m not pumping enough or producing enough. Or do y’all think I’m on the right track and doing a good enough job?

Any tips, suggestions, or your own personal story/routine is much appreciated. Thank you in advance 💜
