Empty or full?

Okay ladies.. I have my first ultrasound on Friday morning. I’m assuming it will be transvaginal since I’ll be 7w5d estimated. I know I need to pee in a cup, but do I need to have a full or empty bladder at my ultrasound? My ultrasound is first, then my first prenatal appointment will be after. It’s been over 13 years since my last ultrasound and I don’t remember! Any suggestions?

They made me empty my bladder for the transvaginal.

I had a TVU and they asked me if I needed to pee because I needed to empty my bladder. Well I didn’t as I hadn’t had much water because I was severely nauseous. She does the ultrasound and goes oh you have to pee and proceeds to show me a very full bladder lmao but I still got to see baby. Moral of my story, try and pee even if you feel like you don’t need to 😂

I had my first ultrasound today at 6w5d. Had to have full bladder as they did abdominal first, then emptied the bladder for the transvaginal. I would call though and check, because if you don’t need to drink all that water, and have the discomfort it’s a plus!!
