Two sacs?
Went in for our 8 week scan to be told we had a blighted ovum. We were given the option of taking the meds to induce a miscarriage or wait 2 weeks, do another scan, then take the meds if my body hadn’t started the process on it’s own by then. We chose option 2.
Went in 12 days later and BOOM. There was a baby, heartbeat and all, measuring 6w6d (sono pic below). The doctor said we must have just had our dates wrong (which was literally not possible based on LMP). Sadly two weeks later the baby’s heart stopped beating. We knew the pregnancy wasn’t right because the dates just didn’t add up, but we were SO GLAD we didn’t choose to terminate the pregnancy when they gave us the option.
But y’all. Does this not look like 2 sacs?!? It looks SO clear to me but I’ve never been pregnant with twins so maybe not?
Wouldn’t surprise me at all if my doctor didn’t mention it since it was such a roller coaster for us. But can doctors withhold that kind of info from patients?
