You can take a test anytime you want, but at 7DPO it’s more than likely going to be negative. Implantation doesn’t usually occur until 6-12dpo. Most women get a faint positive around 11dpo, and some get them earlier. Some don’t get a positive until a missed period. 
I’d say if you take it now (I did one at 7dpo to be honest) don’t be discouraged if it’s negative (mine was for 7 and 8DPO and then I got my faint line ay 9DPO). I’d make sure to use a FRER test if you’re testing early too as no other test other than an early response will give a positive tjay soon.
In fact I had a negative with the dollar store tests at 9DPO but I swore I saw a line forming so I went and got the FRER and got my positive.
