No poop???

Question

Hey! My baby is 4 weeks old and hasn’t pooped in four days? Very gassy have been giving gas drops and is eating regularly!! Tried the ￼bicycle￼ position to try to loosen her up with no luck! How can I help her pass?

Is the baby a breastfed baby? Could be normal if so. But I’d call the pediatrician tomorrow morning to make sure everything is okay or tips on how to get baby to poop.

I had that problem with my newborn (she’s 3 weeks) as well my doctor told me to give her less than an oz of prune juice (it could be any prune juice) in between feedings as needed. The juice did help the day after not the day of and it was watery so I stopped giving her the juice but I also found out that helps a lot get a q tip and rub it on the anus and honestly that has worked wonders for me. It makes them push and poo!

Breastfed babies can go up to a week without pooping, but not normally at that age.  You can try taking a rectal temperature,  sometimes that stimulates them to poop.  You can also try the baby Frida windi.  Neither is something you want to use on a regular basis because she needs to learn how to do it on her own.  
I can't remember if you said you are doing probiotics,  but if you aren't that's the number one thing I would recommend (along with calling the doctor).

Oh that’s not good. I’d definitely call your pediatrician in the morning if she hasn’t gone by then. 4 days is a long time. Try a warm bath and tummy massage.
