How do you feel about people calling their pregnancy/baby a rainbow baby when they’ve never experienced a loss?

I feel that people should be left alone because they're happy with their pregnancy and that's all that matters and maybe the term has a different meaning to them and no one should try to ruin their happiness to make themselves feel better 🤷🏻‍♀️ but that's just me

I would just assume they don’t understand what a rainbow baby really is and just ignore it.

I voted “doesn’t bother me” but I didn’t understand the question at first. If they have not experienced a loss then it’s disrespectful and insensitive to use that term, and it also doesn’t make any sense. I didn’t realize that’s something people actually do if they haven’t experienced loss. Just terrible.

I guess my first thought is some ppl don’t kno the true meaning. I didn’t kno what this was until like 5 years ago. It’s a new-ish term I think. Butttt if they do kno the true meaning and still call their baby a rainbow baby and HAVENT experienced a loss - then thats messed up
