Still sore?!

Question

Baby was born 1/20/20. Had a grade 2 tear. Still having some burning and soreness in the vagina and somewhat in the area with stitches. Just feeling sore in general. How long does this normally take to heal?! Feeling frustrated. Baby was 8 lbs 4 oz and got stuck so I’m guessing that isn’t helping.

I swear by the perineal ice packs. I bought a box off amazon and used them constantly. I would say felt better after 2 weeks

Im at a month and still feeling pain and occasional burning when i pee 🤷🏻‍♀️ I had a couple 2nd degree tears that they stitched up and some of the stitches haven't dissolved yet. Ice packs and hot showers! I had a removable showerhead and everytime i had to pee i jumped in the shower and sprayed hot water down there for 10-15 mins then air dried for a little bit. Then once the pain comes back i put and ice pack and rinsed and repeated. They also put me on percocet for the first 2 weeks and a half which helped with the pain. I also got estrogen cream to put on down there to help heal faster I would make an ob appt and ask about more options if your really uncomfortable im glad i did!

My baby boy was 9lb 1oz on 20/1/20 and I had 2nd degree tear too, only in the last couple of days am I comfortable! Ice ice Ice and sitz baths!! X

I think it depends on if it’s your first baby or not.  My first it felt like forever to heal no tears though.  Just had my 2nd baby a month ago and I felt fine after a few days having him.  No tears either.  I had epidurals for both so not sure if those helped.  1st baby 7 lbs 12 oz and 2nd 8 lbs.  definitely used the ice packs with first baby.

I had my baby a day after you 1/21 and I didn’t tear naturally I had to get an episiotomy done but she cut me twice 😩 my stitch is still in and it still hurts to sit. So I feel you on the soreness. I think it’ll be a while before we feel relief. Honestly the sitz bath feels so good for me 🙏🏼

I had baby jan 15 and still sore. Takes weeks to heal. Be patient and honor what your body just went through

I had my baby 1/8 and I’m still sore. Second degree tear and still tender. Took me forever to feel normal with my first. I think my body is just a slow healer.

My DD was born the same day! She was a small 6lbs 2oz but I had a 37hr labour which is why I tore (most of it stuck at 9-10cm). Mine was an internal vaginal tear which was borderline grade 2. In the end they decided not to give me stitches. It still hurts as well.

I'm the same way and my baby was born 1/17/20. I also had a second degree tear. This week I started also getting a lot of itchiness around my labia. No fun at all. But dermoplast spray helps.
