Just for fun! I don’t get offended when someone reads it & asks me how to say it but I’m wondering if more people get it right than wrong. It’s Hebrew, from the Bible, and it means “to pause and reflect.”

If o was reading it In Psalms I would say say-lah.. most people who I have heard say it that way, but I have also heard see-lah .. usually from someone not American but not always.. like Isaiah being pronounced eye-zay-ah in America but many Places pronounce it eye-zeye-ah (I’m thinking of family and friends from Jamaica or Australia)
