HSG test- reason?

Question

I am having my HSG done Monday after 2 letrozole cycles, one with IUI. I have PCOS so I think my dr thought I’d get pregnant once he got me to ovulate. That didn’t happen so now testing tubes. I have no previous abdominal surgeries or pregnancies or infections or endometriosis that should cause this. Has anyone else also not really had a cause but still had blocked tubes??

It’s a standard fertility test doctors start with.   It’s not just looking at your tubes.  It’s always evaluating your cervix.  Look for polyps, fibroids, endo, etc.

My HSG showed i had uterine polyps. I had no symptoms at all. Just had them removed the end of january and we are about to try again in the next few days!!! Good luck!

I got pregnant literally after an HSG. It can help flush out your tubes if you have no blockages.
