Okay so me an my husband have been living together for about 6 years (married for 1 year) and we’ve never had roommates. Just me and him. We are in a position right now where we are trying to save money and get out of a slumlord situation. Options include, move in with Mom, get a new apartment (more expensive), live in the SUV, work/living exchange, or find roommates. We don’t know many people here or have close friends so we would be moving in with strangers if we did find roommates. What are people’s experiences with this? What is the best way to find roommates? What is your general advice? Which option would you choose? Keep in mind that I’ve never really had roommates. It’s hard to picture living somewhere where we can’t walk around naked and have loud sex in any room, among other things
