Does anyone know??

Why do children repeat something a million times until you respond?? Like they could say something like “I’m done with breakfast” and then you take their plate and whatever else away to go wash it and they keep repeating it so you say something like “yeah” and then they keep repeating it and so you tell them that you heard them and then they are still repeating it until you say something like “I know you ate you’re breakfast! You did a good job”

Or like “(insert name) had a good nap today” and then you’re like... mhm or nod your head or something and they are literally looking at you and can see that you heard them but will still repeat it until you repeat what they said by saying something like “you’re right, (insert name) did have a good nap today”
