This morning we woke up less than an hour before my 4 month old daughter's appointment to be checked for the flu. I fussed at my husband to get up and take care of the baby because I have type A flu right now and want to limit how much I'm around her and my MIL had to take care of her for us. He got mad at me for snapping which I will admit wasn't the right thing to do but ever since he's been a total ass today. Turns out that my daughter has strep (she or one of us might be a carrier for it) and my husband has strep AND type A flu but absolutely no symptoms and feels fine. He was given a mask at the doctor's office like I was earlier in the week (and I'm STILL wearing it just in case) and he REFUSES to wear his and even slammed his car door when he got out of the car because I asked him to wear the mask. I was just telling him he needed it on since he was contagious with two things. It's really hurt my feelings that he's acted this way and I feel like it's my fault he's acting this way from when I snapped at him this morning. He did say he would wear the mask around our daughter but just because he wears it around her doesn't mean someone won't touch something he's infected without the mask on. I know the mask won't cut down 100% on anyone else getting infected but it's a hell of a lot better than just breathing everything out into the air. I just wish he would do the right thing and wear the mask to keep my MIL and FIL from getting sick or our daughter possibly getting the flu too.
