Spent last night at the er with no answers going. Little man started with a low fever that even with medicine turned into an almost 104 temp. The nurse at children’s heard his breathing and told me to take him straight to the closest hospital. When we got there he had a high fever still with meds in him and a very high heart rate. After a few hours of a high fever they got it down to a low fever. Heart rate was still pretty high. They tested for a few things that were negative but this er doesn’t test for the flu and that’s what they suspect he has. He had the first round of his flu shot but the 2nd isn’t due until feb 24th. So we are headed to his pediatrician today. So far today his fever won’t go down much but for 2-3 hours at a time.
