3 month fever

So my baby has his first fever...it’s been 100.6 WITH Tylenol every 4 hours. I’m frustrated with his doctor because they said he’s too little to have medicine but he’s big enough for that fever to be fine? I just feel like they’re contradicting themselves and I’m frustrated. I feel like they’re not taking it/me seriously. And I feel like the diagnosis of a cold is just a cop-out. We’ve tried everything...humidifier/saline drops/shower/tylenol. What else can I do??
