Ok ladies I need your opinion. I’m at 38 weeks. I was checked back at 36 weeks and there was no dilation but my doctor is a little more conservative so they don’t keep checking cervix unless there’s reason to. So I have no idea if there has been any change.

Anyway my doctor said if I make it to 40 weeks they’ll just schedule induction when I’m ready and over being pregnant, but they encourage FTMs to try to let their body go into labor itself.

I’d love for him to come on his own, but also unsure how long I should wait it out. If he came the week of my due date it would be perfect timing for my work, for my husband’s new job, and for my mom who has cancer and it would be her “off week” from chemo.

I’m afraid if I wait til I’m 40 weeks before we even talk about scheduling the induction then they may not be able to schedule induction until the next week? Or is it faster than that?

Guess just looking for some advise and some answers!
