If he has 6,000 pictures on his phone should I expect him to go through and delete pics w/ his ex?

No. That sounds like such a hassle. Their just pictures. Regardless of you being comfortable with it or not, they created memories together. Memories that’ll never go away. If he’s not lusting over the pics then I wouldn’t worry about it

Personally I do not keep pictures of my exs. I find that weird, we’re no longer together and I find it inappropriate for me to keep them. That’s for me personally, but I feel it should be the same for my partner

Idk why people think this is an insecure jealousy thing, it’s not. It’s weird to keep pictures of your exes. If you don’t have feelings towards your exes then it should be no problem to be deleted/thrown out. Now, 6,000 pictures is a lot it would take hours-days to even go through all and would understand if he doesn’t delete the one with his exes.

I delete them anyway. I don’t want to remember them. I actually cut up a picture of me and an ex from my junior year of high school a long time ago. I also delete them off my social media because I don’t want any type of contact with them.

When my husband and I got married we were going through our photo albums together, mine from growing up and his from growing up. I came across his grad photos and lots more that had his ex in them. He took the initiative to throw them out himself. I told him it wasnt necessary because I know he doesnt feel anything towards her any more and they are still memories he has. I am not insecure about my husband having pictures with his ex because I trust him 100%.
