Has anyone been sick with a three month old? Or a toddler and a newborn? Advice?

I have anxiety and I'm panicking that my kids, especially the 3 month old will get sick.

Are you nursing? That will help protect the baby from getting sick. I did a lot of couch reading and playing.

1. Relax
you can’t get things done right when you’re more worried on how you feel. 
2. make sure you’re taken care of so you can take care of them the best way you can.
3. disinfecting wipes/spray help so you don’t spread it back and forth
4. keep everyone hydrated, clean, and well rested. 
lastly remember it will pass. it may be hectic now but don’t worry. you got this mama. as for your children don’t worry too much and leave it in the back of your mind. if you don’t focus on it, it’s not going to affect you or your kids.

Wash wash wash.  I got the flu shortly after bringing my baby home from the nicu and was in a total panic.  I washed my hands anytime I touched my face.  I constantly used Clorox wipes on frequently touched things (sink handles, light switches, door handles, phone, etc). No one else in my house got sick despite me feeling like I was dying and my baby being attached to me.

If your nursing that will help a lot. I got sick when my baby was about 4-5 months and gave it to my husband but since I was nursing baby she never got sick. They say the antibodies in breast milk while you’re sick helps protect baby. Make sure everyone in the house is washing their hands really well.

My second had her first cold at 3weeks old. We left #1 with sil for the birth and one of her cousins gave her a super bug. Tried to keep them as separated as possible but #2 ended up catching it. When #3 came along #1 was in preschool so always bringing home colds so #3 had his first cold at 2weeks old.
