So my mom had literally probably at least 200 oz of my breastmilk stored in her freezer since my freezer is small and they have an extra fridge. Their power went out from the storms that rolled through NC yesterday. It was out for about 5 hours before they plugged in a generator. She told me this morning and I asked if she checked to see if they stuff in the freezer was still frozen when they plugged into the generator, but she didn't think about it. Now I have no idea if all of that milk is ruined!

I am guessing it probably wasn't thawed since it takes over 12 hours to thaw in the fridge. But still. I actually was thinking of donating some of it before all of this happened! I was going to call our lactation consultant today, but didn't get time. I am afraid of what she will say!
