I am suspecting that my baby has a tongue tie. They are 5 weeks old and make a clicking noise during nursing. They also have a heart shaped tongue and their frenulum looks the same as the tongue ties I have looked at online. She also has trouble getting her tongue past gum line. I have pain while nursing even though the lactation consultant said she has a good latch and she has trouble transferring milk. We have an appointment with a pediatrician on the 10th to hopefully have it diagnosed and treated. My question is how did your babies go? Did they give them anything for pain? How was baby during the procedure and after? Did they do it right there at the doctors office? I’m stressed and any information from someone who has seen it done would be helpful.
