How would you handle this?
We are due with our first baby in the 3rd week of September. We havent told anybody yet. The thought of telling everyone too early and then miscarrying is a worry for me and I'd rather not have to deal with that should it happen (I hate to even think about it happening).... anyhow. My SIL is currently going through IVF to have their 2nd baby - 1st was also an IVF baby. I'm struggling with the appropriate way to tell her that we're expecting? I know she'll be surprised, and she'll be happy for us. But I also know the possibility of it upsetting her might happen. But I don't want to make this a thing and keep it a secret from her, because she would hate that, and honestly so would we.
How would you guys tell someone you love that you know is struggling to have a baby, that you're having a baby? Do you tell her separately from everyone else? Do we tell her when she is alone so that she can handle the news in any way she feels she needs to? Like what is the appropriate way to tell her? Any input would be greatly appreciated. She was one of the first people I thought of when we found out.😔
