Spotting or period?

So yesterday afternoon while I was wiping a lot of blood was it and it was a bright red ish, then when I checked my pad this morning it was only a little..then I wiped again and there was more blood on the wipe then my pad. I’m supposed to get my period on February 9th but I started bleeding yesterday February 7th. Help
