Honest question

What's up with the middle name James for a baby girl? I've seen a surge in popularity and I had never heard this before 🤔 Did I miss something? I in no means am trying to offend anyone just generally curious.

Yeah I've seen that too, I had a friend tell me that she planned to use that name as a middle for her next girl 🤔 no clue but I'm not a fan of traditional boy names for girls. I just see it as a bit hypocritical cause those same people would never ever use a traditional girl name for a boy....

I’ve seen that a ton on here and I think it’s totally weird. I don’t get this trend.

Idk anyone with james as a middle name, but i know people give girls tht as a name. I personally don't like it because it's a boys name.. i don't like boys name used for girls like if it's unisex then tht's ok. But like if it's used more for boys then just name your son tht name & you know vice versa.

I always liked it. I first heard of James as a girl's name a few years ago, Blake Lively named her oldest daughter James. My husband's middle name is James too, so it would make sense for me to use it for a girl's middle name. Plus, as a first name, it could be nicknamed Jamie, which I always associated more with girls than boys.

I love it. Especially if it’s a family name. Why not pass it down, girl or boy?

If someone likes it they like it. That’s all there is to it.

My name is Jaime but most people call me James. I first heard of James being used for a girl when, like another poster said, Blake Lively name her daughter James. We have Ivy James on our list for a girl đź‘Ś

I like it for a girl a lot more than some of the other, newer, crossover boy names. It’s also my husband’s middle name, but when I asked about it, he said he wasn’t attached whatsoever.
