28 hours of labor.
My baby boy was born February 5th. Due on January 30th. February 3rd I was admitted to the hospital for a out of no where tooth infection that just went crazy. I was so scared. Put on IV antibiotics. On the 4th at 2 pm I started having contractions. They were every 5 to 10 mins and painful. Doctor checked and I was at a 4. She said just wait and see since I was being treated for my tooth still. In the morning the contractions were still going. She checked me again at a 5. Offered to start pitocin and or break my water. I panicked and did not want pitocin. Offered to let her break my water. She couldn't break it. It was weird. So I went walking. At 2pm she said we start pitocin since I was 24 hours in labor. I agreed. Instantly the contractions were worse. They bumped it every 30 mins. By 330 I asked for the epidural. Got that (which was scary) but didn't hurt bad. That worked. For a hour lol. By 430 I was at 7cm and the epidural quit working 🙄 quickly I went from 7 to 9. Water still intact. They had me sit up and my water leaked some. I started pushing at 520. My water bag was coming out but intact and they could see his hair. I pushed until 5:58 when he was born. His bag popped as soon as he came out. Way more painful birth then my daughter's. We were released the next day. I go Wednesday to get my tooth pulled 😬
