Hey all! My daughter is six months old, and is EBF. Just started purées last week. I pump two times a day at work, and get anywhere from 4 to 5 ounces each pump. She was just taking 3 ounces three times a day at the sitter but I increased her to 4 ounces three times a day. For a while, I was pumping in the morning while she nursed and then after work to make that “third” bottle for the next day when she’s at the sitter.

I gave her 2 ounces of formula just to see if she would take it last week, and she did just fine. I am considering having the sitter give her one bottle of formula and two bottles of breast milk while I’m at work and then continuing to breast-feed at night, mornings and weekends. If I’m still pumping the same amount while I am away, will this realistically make my supply drop?

My instruction would be to have her give the formula bottle in the morning, and then the two breast milk bottles 🍼in the afternoon. Thoughts? I know there’s nothing wrong with the formula, but I really want to keep breast-feeding until flu season is over, about two more months 🙃
