Should I be worried????

5 days post csection and my swelling is getting so bad.. and I’ve been getting a headache is this normal

I just had my daughter on Feb 1. Swelling can be normal but I experienced bad swelling in my feet and a severe headache that wouldn’t go away. Turns out I had post partum preeclampsia.. which is very dangerous. My blood pressure was at stroke level. Go get checked out!!!

Normal.... My swelling 3 weeks pp

Nurse said I'd sweat out all the excess water and by week 4, I'd wake up sopping wet... And then my feet were normal again :)

I had no swelling until after my csection and went home. It went away but I was thinking I was in the clear. I didnt swell at all being pregnant. Nope.

Both can be normal or they could be related to hypertension or preeclampsia. After birth my midwife told me to call the office if I got a headache that didn’t go away with normal painkillers.

My doctor advised me to wear compression stockings for about 6 weeks especially at night after I had my little girl to help reduce swelling, maybe get some if you don’t have any and see if they help. If your concerned you should speak to your doctor though xx

Mine were the same... this was a couple of days after c section. I slept with my feet elevated on cushions in bed. After a few days it cleared up. I had headaches from lack of sleep but they were not very bad headaches. If you worried about preclampsia ring your midwife she may do a home visit just to check you.

Just double check about clotting. I know there is a risk for blood clots after c section but I can't remember if swelling is a sign/symptom?

I wish I kept my photos... my swelling was worse than yours! It was also hips down and hurt! Keep walking, no salt, increase water intake, epsom salt soak your legs hot water, have so massage your legs to keep blood flow, bed time have legs heart level.

Completely normal I had the same. - you pee it all out excess fluid!

I had insane feet swelling after mine too. That’s normal. I would call about the headache. Not sure if that is.
