My in laws haven’t seen our kids since Christmas. They’re both principles so their weeks are busy but there’s weekends. We live two hours away. It’s been 6.5 weeks since they last saw them. My oldest who is 3.5 will ask them to come over and they say soon. According to my mother in law she has “school obligations” but just today (a Saturday) they went to watch some girl who graduated from their school play college basketball. They have time for that but can’t mange a day for their grandkids. Whom are which their only grandkids. I wish I could just cut them out of our life. I hate that they only seem to care when it’s convenient to them.

It’s hard for us to visit them because I for sure work every other weekend and then I’ve been picking up some extra days. Plus we have two golden retrievers that we have to pack up along with the two kids. One dog gets car sick too.
